Tantra
Tantra is an ancient spiritual path that asks its adherents to see their body as a divine temple for their soul, in which pleasure is a sacrament to the creator. The Sanskrit word tantra means "web" interpreted as "that which expands understanding". A key idea is that the source of all things is both feminine and masculine, with each essential to the polarized other, eternally in motion, neither one more important than the other. In the far east, the Tantric Buddhists of Taoism characterize these two forces as Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine), while east Indian Hindus personify these forces as Lord Shiva (yang) and Lady Shakti (yin), equally god and goddess together, the primal couple, two-into-one.

| If you have a partner you love very much and are on the same wavelength about deepening your intimacy, look into Tantra. Ancient techniques for prolonged bliss, full body orgasm, and sacred positions for healing are just the beginning. The practice involves tuning in to your electric body and breath, which are “faster” in frequency than your “slower” physical self. Learning about the body’s electric polarity (yin and yang points), the weaving of breath and the joining of chakras can allow you to have a more soulful experience in your body. When you really succeed, you will learn exquisite fe/male balance within yourself and with your partner as you melt into one-ness with all of creation. Cosmic sex. Whew. Who knew? |
