Romance
Romance is an outflow of love into the physical realm, where tangible acts and objects make real the feelings of the heart. A bouquet of flowers, a surprise love note, an unexpected phone call, these are all considered "romantic". They are proof that the giver is thinking about their partner, whether together or apart. Romance also carries the quality of being completely unnecessary, that is, worth of truffles is romantic, spent on a good toaster is not. When thinking romance, music and poetry can also lend a hand in expressing feelings of love, as does the time-honored tradition of giving jewelry as a token of love and commitment.

| Romance is particularly important to some lovers. In fact to many it is truly significant if you want them to stick around. More important though, romance is something worth cultivating if you want to enhance your love life. Try doing just one thing each day - a spontaneous French kiss up against the wall, a breathy ballad sung into voice mail, or offering your loved one the last bite of dessert. Pretty soon your SO (significant other) will be bragging about how wonderful you are, and it will all be true! |
