Fetish
Fetish has several variations in meaning, all of which point to a psychological fixation with an object or bodily part. Fetish is also a term for specific acts - real or imagined - that include the object or body part for the sex act to be gratifying. Clothing fetishes are common, with huge gatherings of people who are turned on by leather, latex rubber, or lacy lingerie. Shoe and foot fetishists are legendary for their obsessive delight in painted toe, peek-a-boo shoes, outrageous boots and spiky high heels. What makes a fetish truly a fetish is a fixation that turns to an obsession. The object of fixation inhabits a full-spectrum of sexuality and becomes the person's only sexual trigger. They cannot achieve orgasm without their fetish. In some cultures a fetish is anything that is considered not only sacred, but also imbued with superstition or excessive faith.

| I once met a foot fetishist named Angel. He explained to me he was raised a Catholic by nuns who threatened eternal damnation if he looked at a woman's face, breasts, fanny, legs, or even ankles. So you see, the only part that it was okay to stare at were the feet. Since he was an orphan in the care of church ladies, he was very susceptible to ladies with sexy, fancy shoes walking thru a nearby park. Angel channeled adolescent hormones into gleefully (successfully) worshipping women's feet at every opportunity. It still makes him happy to this very day.
