Fellatio
The term fellatio dates back to 1893 and is derived from the Latin term fellare (to suck). Technically, however, fellatio means the act of orally stimulating a penis. Licking, sucking, nibbling and blowing are all techniques of fellatio, which usually results in a penile erection. Oral styles vary from light tongue touches and long sinuous licking to deep, vacuum-like sucking, hot air blowing and even toning (the use of sound to vibrate the organ). Since STDs (including HIV) may be communicated from mouth-to-penis contact, flavored condoms allow a gloved handshake introduction when first meeting a new partner, to protect both partners from a possible exposure.

| Amazing, isn’t it, that the act of worshipping your partner’s body is something that could actually land you in jail? Doesn’t sound right, does it? Yet it is actually illegal in Washington, D.C., for example, to "play the jade flute" for your partner. Unbelievable. Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, on the other hand, had a much friendlier official policy around oral sex. If she liked you, she’d probably blow you. Her appetite for semen was said to have been voracious and she was said to have had thousands of partners over her lifetime. One legend has it that she once threw a party where she sucked and swallowed 100 men over dinner. Cleopatra’s story demonstrates that fellatio can be a true art form, to be learned and mastered with practice. And if taken up as a serious hobby, the fellatist will find there is never a shortage of volunteers for practice. |
