Dance
To dance is to move the body rhythmically, usually with music, drumming or chanting. Dance is a means of expression that is universal to the human experience. In cultures around the world dance has long been an extension of community, where rituals of courtship, sexual expression, rites of passage and celebration of gender are danced in groups as well as for one another. Most cultures use dances (whether around a tribal fire or in the cafeteria at middle school), as a rite of initiation in which adolescents take their first steps toward intimacy with the opposite sex. In adult circles, dance can be performed as a courtship ritual in pairs (like the Tango or the Waltz), or one gender showing off for another (Bellydance, Flamenco Dance or Striptease).

| Dancing is one of the truly fun things you can do with your body. The sense of non-linear movement to music, letting muscle and bone lead the way, is what makes dance so sensual. It's pure body talk, arousing the body and spirit, and at times can lead to a state of pure ecstasy. Many romantics find dancing is a great excuse to stay close with their partner. Take some dance classes with your lover and add another dimension to how you move together. Dressing sexy and dancing all night can be a very sensual prelude to some hot dancing in the sheets! |
