These fleshy, muscled-mounds are perched atop each leg, slipping this way then that way as the body moves along, a tidy crevice obliging the difference. Whether hard-rock or jiggly-round, buttocks have been a source of fascination for men and women in nearly all cultures. Apparently, humans are not the only mammals with a focused interest on the ass. A recent study in the journal Nature reported that the buttocks of female baboons swell and become brighter red during the days leading up to fertility, literally advertising a female's ripeness. The male baboons in response, become more aggressive in their competition for the brighter, bigger bottomed females, implying that females with larger derrieres attract the superior males. For humans, the butt is not only a source of attraction but it is also a major erogenous zone and responds to sexy sensations from tickling, fondling and pinching, to caressing and smacks.
